Kid Etiquette Tip: Saying Please and Thank You

Simple as it seems, your child needs opportunities to practice saying, "Please" and "Thank You".  Children need to be taught to say "please" when asking for something, and "thank you" when they receive something.
It's not OK to raise a child who expects favors, or who does not acknowledge when others do something for them.  A simple "please" and "thank you" go a long way, especially with adults.

Practice with your child often.  Require them to say, "please" and "thank you" to you, their siblings, other family members and friends.  It will take a while to become a habit, but it is well worth the time.
